When I bought my used 01 Honda Accord it came with a remote door lock thingie. It lights up when the button is pressed it just doesn't work. I guess something just isn't connected to something...
Well where can I take my car? Can a normal mechanic fix this? Thank you...hope this isn't confusing. |

First off check the battery, like the person above me suggested. If that doesn't work you may need to have your key fob reprogrammed at the dealership ( the fob is the keychain part with the buttons on it).

Have you changed the battery? Key chain remotes require
a small battery. It could be dead. Most places that sell watch batteries will carry it. |

Ok once you put in the new battery the remote will need to be reprogrammed a honda dealer may charge you for this or if you have the owners manual it may cover what you need to do
